June and July have flown by for us! I haven't been posting anything because my laptop is currently not working. So, I managed to talk Shawn into letting me use his work computer to post some pics. Besides trying to stay cool in the heat, here are some of our summer highlights: Candace and Justin's baby boy,Liam, arrived on June 24th. He is an absolute sweetheart! Davis has really enjoyed going to visit the new baby. We had a fabulous time in June visiting with Aunt Lisa, Emmy, and Chloe. We are always sad to have to say goodbye when they leave. We have been having a wonderful time taking classes at Gymboree. Davis gets to sing songs and really use his imagination during class. My friend Michelle and her daughter Hadley have also been going, so we have lots of fun visiting with them too. We celebrated the 4th of July at Candace and Justin's along with the rest of the family. We recently had an appointment with Davis' endocrinolgist. He has been on daily medicine since he was born for his thyroid. We get blood work done every three months to monitor his levels. For the last 6 months, his numbers have not changed, so for now, he is off the medicine. Yay!! We are going to redo blood work in a month to make sure his levels don't change. Lastly, I have started the process of potty training Davis. As most of you know, he can be VERY stubborn. He is not going to do something if he does not want to do it. So, I have not pushed the issue at all because he really showed no interest. Thankfully, he is warming up to sitting on the big potty. When he does go, he gets so excited and repeats what I say, "I'm so proud of you!" It really is cute!
