Mother's Day

Here are some pics from Mother's Day.  We had a great time at my mom's house in New Roads.   I am so blessed to be Davis' mommy!  He is my heart!  I am also very grateful to my mom for everything she did for me growing up and that she continues to do today.

Science Museum

Here are some old pics from when we went to the dinosaur exhibit in Lafayette a couple of months ago.  Davis had a ton of fun.  He still loves dinosaurs so much.

He loved the giant T-Rex!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday.  Davis was excited to see what the Easter bunny had brought for him.  He was well behaved at mass(yay!) and then we went to eat lunch and have an Easter egg hunt at Aunt Des and Uncle Brandon's house.  Halli, Carli, and Olivia hid the eggs for Davis and Anna to find.  It was a beautiful day!

Aunt Lisa, Uncle Allen, Chloe and Emmy also came for a visit during the week.  We boiled crawfish and just let the kids play outside all day.  Davis was really into holding the crawfish.  He got pinched a few times, but he didn't seem to mind too much because he kept sticking his hands in for more!  We had a fabulous time and can't wait to see them again soon.

Ahoy Matey

We had a fantastic time at Davis' pirate party to celebrate his third birthday.  We had the party in Lafayette at my dad's house.  The kids had plenty of room to run around and play.  Even though it was chilly, the rain held out and we were able to do everything outside.  All of the kids got to jump and slide in the pirate ship, dig for treasure in the sand, and dress up like a pirate.  Davis was a little apprehensive about the big blow up pirate ship slide, but once he got over his fear, we couldn't get him off of it.  Singing happy birthday and blowing out candles this year was a big improvement from last year.  No tears! Although he did throw in "no"(his favorite word) several times as we started singing, he quickly got over it.  He is definitely like his mommy when it comes to being the center of attention.  ;)   Davis had so much fun opening his presents.  He is obsessed with sea creatures lately(thanks to the cartoon Octonauts), and his new octopus and whale didn't leave his side once he opened them.  The last three years have been so wonderful watching Davis grow and learn each day.  He brings such joy to our lives.  We are truly blessed!

BIG Bite--Yum!
Our sweet boy turned three on Saturday! I can't believe how quickly time has flown by. He is getting to be such a big boy. He loves playing with his dinosaurs, pirate ship, and Toy Story friends. He loves books! Lately, he has been bringing two books to me and telling me to read one while he reads the other. It is so precious! He is still shy around people he doesn't know, except now that he talks so much, he often will shout "MOMMY" if someone tries to talk to him. ;) He has a VERY strong personality. He definitely has no problems communicating with you if he doesn't like something. He also has a very sweet side. He loves to cuddle with his mommy and daddy. He still rocks with me every night before he goes to bed, which I just love!  We are looking forward to his pirate party in a few weeks.  I found a cute questionaire online to start asking your child when they turn three, then you can compare answers each year.
